BP-183-A is an organoclay for oil-based drilling mud (fluid).
ADVANTAGES
☆ Impart viscosity and suspension propertiesto oil-based drilling fluids.
☆ Used to gel oil drilling fluids for long-term suspension of weighting agents in drilling and packer fluids.
☆ Aids in filtration control.
☆ Usually preferred in all diesel oil /aromatic mineral oil based and oil-emulsion based fluids. Should not be used in high performance clay-free oil based drilling fluids.
INCORPORATION&RECOMMENDED LEVELS
Add 10-30kg/m3 of BP-183-A viscosifier slowly through the hopper.
Note:Decrease yielding time by adding a small stream of water through the hopper at the same time.

SHELF LIFE
BP-183-A has a shelf life of at least two years from date of manufacture. Store in a cool dry place.
