BP-183-A24 is a type of economical organoclay, which is easy dispersible,giving good
suspension and pulping properties in oil-based mud. It is generally used as
thickenner, filtrate loss reduce agent, and stuck release agent.
BP-183-A24 have high gelling efficiency and stable viscosity.Usually be used in various drilling fluid systems such as diesel oil, mineral oil, synthetic oil and modified vegetable oil. There is no need to add chemical activator when use it. BP-183-A24 can also adapt to the low and high temperature.
ADVANTAGES
☆Form a gelled structure in the base oil to adjust the sticking of the drilling fluid.
☆Improve hole cleaning and the capability of carrying sand.
☆Improve the quality of mud cake and reduce water loss of mud.
☆Increase the suspension of oil-based drilling fluid, suspending weighting Material.
INCORPORATIONS
When making the oil based drilling fluids, adding a small stream of water（0.1-0.5%）will be much helpful to get ideal effect.BP-183-A24 needs enough shearing to be well dispersed, to get the required initial viscosity.
RECOMMENDED LEVELS
Add 25-40kg/m3 of BP-183-A24 to make water in oil drilling fluids, or adjust the quantity based on needs.Normally the consumption of BP-183-A24 in mineral oil-based, synthetic oil-based and modified vegetable oil- based drilling fluids will be higher than diesel-based drilling fluids.
